Screen Printing Colors:

 Each Color that is printed in a multi-color design is a different layer of color.  Imaging creating your design out out construction paper.  Each color would be laid down in a similar fashion.  Full color simulations are possible by using a process color.  Process color is using overlayed gradients of basic colors.  Newspapers/Newsprint uses this process, if you look closely at process-newsprint you will see fine color dots (gradients of colors) overlaid to simulate full color.  This process usually utilizes between four and six colors.
